woke up today to one of my anthias being eaten by my shrimp. Upon close further examination of all my other fish, one of female anthias has very tiny black peppered spots at the base of its pectoral fins and a little on the very edges of its pectoral fins, also laborious breathing. If you look very closely at its skin on its head...it seems like the crevices between its scales (very tiny) are darker black than normal as well...again, very hard to notice.
Sorry no pics...theres just no pic that came out good enough to post.
Any ideas on disease identification? Or is it turning male...as the "pigments" are similar to the darkened regions on the fins of my healthy male thats already in the tank?
Why would a female turn male if a male is already in the tank? Does this make sense?
