Lyretail with white spot on tail, not ick.

I got three female lyretail anthias last thursday. They are eating mysis soaked in vitachem three times a day like pigs. Saturday I noted a small white spot in the middle of the real fin of the largest one...it might have increased in size a little bit through sunday. It's very hard to get a good pic and I can't even attemp to get a pic for how active they are. It's larger than ick but I'm not sure what to do?

Just watch it. If it spreads it could be bacterial. Knowing anthias it's prob an injury inflicted by one of the others.

(me and cbehr put an order together and he mentioned one of his fish has a spot and i said the foxface i got does as well)

no, i understand the color changes because of stress. I am referring to the white spot on his top fin in the very back. one sec, i'll circle it....

It looks like bite mark. Do u have any wrasses? That would be about the shape of one of their bites.

just a sixline. No fish seems to be messing with the foxface, he just hides all the time. When i do see him out, everyone stays out of his way, but isnt scared of him.

Hopefully it is just something from shipping and isnt any type of disease/bacteria.


Sorry for the hijack cbehr, his spot seems to be some type of growth since it isnt flat like the spot on the foxface.

Folks at Wetwebmedia think it's lymphocystis, viral infection that hopefully clears on it's on with a healthy immune system.
