I'm confused, if I don't want to attend the banquet or recepton but just want to come to hear peope speak and shop around which option would I choose for registering to attend or do i have to pay for the full conference?

Now that is a good question.
My guess there is a separate fee for daily attendance but I know not what it is.

The "MACNA" team is attending MACNA XX1 in NJ.
There is a Contact button on the home page.
Send your question to Jon or Ray and they will answer it.
I am also sure they will clear up the confusion on the post.

As we get closer to the event we will offer single and 3-day passes which will get you into the speakers and tradeshow. However if you register now you will get a full conference pass for the same as what a 3-day pass will cost then.

I went to MACNA in Atlantic City. This was my first MACNA and it was great!!! I signed up for MACNA Orlando and I am already looking forward to the event!!
