MACNA 2010 - Orlando, FL - September 2-5, 2010

Still lookin for 1 and 2 day pricing!!!

Still lookin for 1 and 2 day pricing!!!

We haven't established pricing for the trade show only. At some past MACNAs it has ranged from $25 - $50 where at others there hasn't always been a trade-show only option available.

Money this year is the biggest issue for me and my wife personally, the only way we would be able to budget this trip for the weekend is if you provide the 1 or 2 day prices that others had previously been able to offer.

Hopefully they are posted in time for us to also make the decission regarding affordability. Trust me, if I had the $.$$ I would have already booked a room (called a friend) and purchased the full Ticket! As a couple people have stated, not all of us have the funds now.

Any information on when the 1 day price will be available would help out also.

Thank you for your interest in all who want to attend. :fun4:

I've attended 5 MACNAs and always come back with about 1/2 a suitcase of "free" stuff. It's mostly T-shirts and samples but some companies give away larger items. A few years ago (I think it was Pittsburgh MACNA), we even picked up for free 4 large buckets of Instant Ocean salt. Lucky we drove to that show. We also won a very nice 8 gallon cube aquarium at that show from one of the talks.

There are also the raffles where you can win stuff.

MACNA is also a good place to buy stuff from vendors. There are typically special discounts and with some vendors, you can order ahead of time and pick up at the show.

The trade/vendor floor is only one aspect of MACNA. There are also the great talks and the opportunity to interact with others in the hobby whether professionals or hobbyists.

Awesome! I'm soo excited! Are the corals normally cheap or overpriced? I plan on saving all of my birthday money for MACNA. Also do they do frag swaps and if I purchase a coral, I don't has a portable tank with a nice light. What should i do? I only live 2 hours south and I'm staying in a hotel but should i just se up a little 5 gallon tank and throw a normal around the house light on it. Lime a little 25 watt reading light?

There will be a number of coral vendors (check out the current exhibitor list) bringing some of the most incredible corals you have ever seen. The vendors will hold the corals at their booth till pickup on Sunday.

If you are flying there, how do you bring the corals home? Do the airline allow you to bring them on the plane or do you need to ship them back to yourself? Will there be some sort of shipping booth available at Macna?
