MACNA 2010 - Orlando, FL - September 2-5, 2010

Hey Mac,

I've sent MACNA folks a couple of messages and even commented on their FB page...but no response yet. Do you know if registering for the dive trip also gets me into Epcot for the day? And, if my family just wants to come and see me dive, maybe take some pics from the outside, do they have to get full tickets to Epcot ($$$) or can we just all go to the aquarium, dive and leave? Thanks,

Hi Chuck,

Just sent you an email with answers. Will verify with Disney contact the specifics about entry to the park and post again.

Thanks for your patience!

Thanks for the reply and e-mail Nomer! Don't want to be a pain....just a bit excited, I'm really looking forward to this!

Chuck, regarding diving

Chuck, regarding diving

Chuck,

Regarding the diving, following the dives you will be released into the park. Unfortunately it does not include entrance earlier in the day. EPCOT does not permit anything into the water with you besides wrist mounted watches/dive-computers and a perscription mask. Cameras will not be permitted, however we will be videotaping you during your dive and the video will be available afterwords.

For your family, I'm afraid they will have to purchase admission into the park to come watch you, or the alternative is that they can sign up to the dive / swim at the same time as you. Children 10 and up are able to do scuba assisted snorkeling in the aquarium, and it is all part of the same sign up on the MACNA website.

Let me know if you have any questions about the dive: speakers@macna2010.com

Thanks Joshua! You just saved me a couple hundred bucks bidding on a housing for my little camera! Probably have my folks and son get half-day admission to the park and then we can hang out at Epcot a little bit after the dive.

Just letting you know ... MACNA 2010 Discount expires November 14 at midnight.
Hurry and register now for our great rate of $109 +tax!

Trying to convince the misses to let me head back to my old stomping grounds and go to MACNA!!! this will be a first for me since I am still a newby (2yrs). Hope to meet some of the experts and pick their brains.

Well just bring her along then! You can use the whole 'resort hotel' angle. I went by the hotel the other day and I have to say, it's pretty nice!

You can also suggest that you guys take an extra vacation day and "spend a wonderful day together at Disneyworld". ;)

There is no shortage of things to do and see down here.

Well down there I suggest everyone check out "Tijuana Flats" Mexican restaurant.

Awesome food and a huge selection of Hot Sauces!

I have never been to a MACNA, and am planning on going to this one. So when do booths open for buying corals? I don't want to miss the good stuff.

This will be our first too! When do tickets get sent out?

After you register your Confirmation Email is your receipt. When you arrive at the show we will have a registration packet for you, including your badge, show materials and access tickets to the reception/banquet.

Also, someone asked about when the exhibit hall opens. It will open at noon on Friday, September 3rd for the general audience, however if you're a MASNA member then you not only get first access to the trade show at 11am (Sept 3), but you get preferred seating for the speaker presentations! So if you haven't already, become a MASNA member today. See www.masna.org for more information.

The full conference package will give you everything usually. That would be all three days, the reception Friday evening and the gala dinner Saturday evening.

Yes, you get all three days with a full conference registration - Access to all speaker presentations, demonstrations/workshops, full trade show floor entry, Friday night reception dinner with open bar and Saturday night banquet dinner gala.
