Macna 2011

Great question! Unfortunately, we can't answer that yet. We haven't finalized the deals yet with the companies that will provide the transportation, so we don't know the exact details yet. Chances are that there will be a bunch of shuttles at the beginning and end of the day, and then periodically throughout the middle of the day (maybe every half hour).

As for the vegitarian meals, we've been told that it won't be a problem, but we will need to know in advance so we can let them know. Your best bet there is to send us a note via the contact form on our website. That way we have a record of it.

And just a reminder to everyone, RC has given MACNA 2011 it's own forum here. There's a good bit of information posted there too:

There will be shuttles running between the airport and the Marriott on Thursday. We're not sure yet if there will be shuttles between the Marriott and the event center on Thursday.

How do we find the shuttles? Where in the airport are they located and do they say Marriot on them or anything? Sorry, this is my first time traveling out of state without knowledgable family members. lol.

I don't live in Des Moines myself, so I don't know that much about the airport, but if you call the Marriott, they can probably give you all of these details. I'm guessing that they do have their own Marriott branded shuttles. Depending on when you arrive, you may need to call the Marriott and ask for a shuttle pickup. I'd suggest keeping their number handy for when you arrive.

Hey everyone, we just wanted to remind you that the final discount price of $125 for a full access pass expires in just about 2 weeks. Don't let that slip by! Order now and use that extra money for some raffle tickets, a shirt or to buy some great stuff at the show!

I've got my pass, raffle tickets and shirt ordered. With all the goodies being added to the raffle, might have to get more tickets! This will be my first MACNA and I can hardly wait!!

Hey guys, I just bought my ticket today. I'm driving from North Dakota. This is my first year going because it's so close. I hope that it gets enough support from the Midwest to stay in this area!!

I hope to meet many people there. Is there a place I can post to meet other North Dakotans heading there?

Thanks!

Woot, another person from ND.
I got my ticket purchased, hotel lined up and such. Three of us going down together.

This will be my first year!

I was just wondering, how many corals are there to choose from? Just tons and tons or what?

And how are the prices on corals? Lower than normal? I'm so eager!

There will be a lot of coral selection, at prices that are at worst competitive with online prices taking into account that you won't have to pay shipping and you can see exactly what you're going to get. When Cherry Corals, House of Corals, Paul's Corals, etc have come to the GIRS frag fests, their prices and selection are great, and I can't imagine that they would not have more corals, better selection, and equal or better prices. They go on volume for events like this.

Great, thank you so much! How many vendors are there that sell corals? I just feel like there will be so many people there that I won't be able to get any corals because they'll be picked over! Or is this not the case?

I wouldnt worry too much about that. I just looked over the list quickly and saw at least 18 coral vendors. I know we will be bringing around 300 or more items.

The show was fabulous! I may never need to buy fish food again! Thank you Marineland for handing out LED's! I am glad to have made so many new friends! Ooh yea, and a shout out to my new Chicago friends!!!!! I picked the right table!
