I may be the only person in the world to not know, but how do you ship corals back home from D.C.? I want to make sure I can do this before I book!

Lee, frags are usually given to the purchaser in little 3 oz cups that are airline friendly.
Now I've never traveled with coral, but that's what I've seen at macna in the past.

Hi Dennis! I hadn't thought about using tiny cups. That is a good idea.

At MACNA Dallas, I tried to check a box with 20 or so corals. It made it through, but just barely. No idea what the protocol on this is.

also in the Pittsburgh and Atlanta MACNA's there were shipping vendors setup so that frags got shipped the last day of the show overnight, so that when you got home you had frags waiting.

After a thorough review of TSA regulations, I conclude that there is no standard protocol for transporting corals on a passenger airplane. I've emailed several TSA officials and hope to have a response soon.

Very easy to do....pack them in a box...check it as one of your baggage...we do that all the time...no issues.

I have missed the last 2 MACANAs, but the shows I have been to in the past you were required to be present at the raffle if you were a winner. Will this be true this year as well?

I have 2 full conference 2015 tickets for sale since we will no able able to attend. Send me a PM if interested and I will send details. Paid 198 for 2 tickets not sure if there is a transfer fee or not.
