I recently found this fish eating pellets, mysis, and brine and overall looking and doing great. Wanted to know if there is more info out there about this guy? I know it is a type of Leopard wrasse but any personal stories or anyone still caring for one?

Thought it would be cool to jump at the Kuiter's Leopard Wrasse!:bounce3:

Saw one of these in my LFS, but it was labelled as an unknown Anampses so I left it alone, it was only later I saw a pic of the kuiteri. I could have screamed....

They are mean little buggers. Very hardy, much hardier than other leopards. i had a male and female, the male chased the female and I had to get rid of her, he was just viscous. Cool little fish though, they are in all respects similar in care requirements to the standard M. melagris or M. bipartus.

very cool! Thank you. The one I have now is already eating in my tank with many other fish and wrasses. At the store he was in a large tank with lots of other fish and never showed any signs of aggression. Lets hope he/she plays nice!

dflad, i havent been able to find much info on how to decided if they are male or female, any help?
