I picked up a two polyp frag of these at the ABC swap and they don't seem to be doing too well, they're the only things that seem to be having problems and I'm not sure exactly what it could be, I have them placed about midway up and I'm running 6 T5s over a 45, does anyone have any suggestions or experience with these?

I lost mine too even after it quickly sent up new polyps; my Clownfish was abusing them, but the other two zaonthidae on the same small rock one of which was entwined in the same mat survived. The person I got mine from was having trouble as well, afer his initial great success.

I'm not sure If I could really get a good pic, I'll try when I can get a camera later, but they are opening but they are smaller than when I first put them in and they kind of look wilted

no, the flow is pretty moderate

If I'm not mistatken, they were under 4 bulb fixtures at ABC. They might be getting too much light with the 6 T5's and aren't happy about it. Are you doing a dawn/dusk effect with your fixture? Is there any time of day that the magician's are open?

they are usually open most of the day, but since day one they seem to be getting smaller and more wilted looking

I have mine mid tank in a 120 under dual mh250s. Over double the polyps I had 3 months ago and look great. Then again I haven't seen them today after this weekends events

Zoanthids are definitely fickle. Even some of RCs zoa experts will admit to unexplained attrition.
