Magnets reef safe?

I am trying to mount a DIY maxijet mod and so I got a few of the
37mm x 6mm N40 Epoxy Coated Disc Magnet from gaussboys
to mount the maxi stands I made. When I took out the magnets, they stuck together and it took me awhile to get them apart. Once apart, the epoxy had worn off on a few spot, should I care?


Just asking but what is the best way to stick plastic to one of these magnets?

Bare metal is not good in a reef tank, unless it is stainless steel.

coat them in 100% silicone. GE 1 from hardware store is safe.

How should I stick the silicone coated magnets to plastic mount.

I bought some magnetic algae scrapers for this purpose. Many metals are very toxic in a reef tank, and I wouldn't take a chance on a silicone coating, personally.
