Majestic Angel and Trigger

I've had a Majestic Angel in my 180 for a several weeks and it seems pretty comfortable. I was considering adding a Trigger to the tank, either a Red Tail or male Blue Throat. Do you think they're compatible? Live Aquaria says Triggers and Large Angels are compatible with caution. Just wondering if anyone has either of these combinations in their tanks.

Thanks

I've had one with a big clown and an undulated for over a year without issue, maybe you will be as fortunate with an even much less aggressive trigger.

I would say yes. Triggers hold their own pretty well. If it were me, I would look for a medium sized Trigger. Maybe not one that was small.

I should mention the other tank mates:

1 Convict Tangs
2 Clowns
1 Bi-Color Angel Fish
1 Hippo Tang
1 Yellow-Eye Tang
1 Christmas Wrasse
1 Majestic Angel

The tank is an AGA 180g FOWLR.

If it was my tank, I would not hesitate at all with those fish. Someone else could chime in though.

You'd have a very good mix of fish IMO. Very common combination. Adult Nigers can eat smaller versions of clownfish. I had a Niger eat a male GSM clown; but I think that's unusual. I'm surprised the female let the trigger get that close to the male; he must have been in trouble for something.

get a smaller trig..the narchus, although a shy angel should be okay...just wouldnt want a trig pushing it around...how big is the navarchus?
