Majestic Angel Experience

My experience with angels is to look for a specimen in the 3-5 inch range. They seem to adapt more readily to captive life and captive foods.

I totally agree. I have never had a problem with any healthy looking angel purchased at this size range and I have kept some pretty touchy species like flagfins.

The majestic has settled in very nicely. He's still a bit shy but is swimming around the tank now and is ......

Sound like an ideal time for a picture then :p ;) :D

any of you keeping Majestics with clams?

My majestic would on occasion pick at the croceas in the beginning. After a couple weeks, he didn't bother with them. Also no problems with him and corals or zoas. Great citizen so far.

I also had a majestic in a 120 mixed reef. He was a beautiful fish but after 3 years of being a model citizen he developed a taste for my corals. Also nipped at my clam. I had to move him to anohter tank and eventually I had to get rid of him. I love them beautiful fish but you are taking your chances.

just added a 6 " that i got from a fellow reefer eats anything I give him - had one passing peck at a hammer but hasnt touched anything else yet - My Goldeye tang bothered him a bit at first although that calmed down within a day as the Angel wasnt very intimidated by it at all.
