Male or female mandarin

Could some please there me if these two mandarins is a female and male. I want to pair them up in the same tank 20gallons be established for a year and half.

they won't last in a 20g tank, much too small and they will starve to death. they should go in big tanks, that have been established for at least 8-9 months. one year is even better.

you can't possibly keep up the pod population in a 20g tank it would take to sustain 1 mandy, let alone 2.

I see the pic of a male there, spike dorsal, but I agree w/ Nina, not big enough for one let alone two, not w/out doing a ridiculous amount of extra work like cultivating or buying pods and dosing pretty much daily, which for most would get real old or expensive fast.

They will be in a 220 gallon tank with about 250 lbs of live rock. Thank has been established for over a year and half ibjustvfontvwant to put two males in it

Good. You left out a zero.
The male has a spike on a conspicuous dorsal fin. The female top fin is much smaller. But get them AS a pair from the start---ie, buy one sworn to be a pair, or one may kill the other. These are the most non-aggressive fish in the world, except with each other.
