Had an impulse buy and picked up a scooter.
Will the scooter and the mandarin{spotted} be able to co-exist inside my 75 gallon reef.
Thanks

Only time will tell in regard to feeding, though you can supply the tank with live pods if you think the tank may struggle.c Or have you considered adding a fuge? This would help a great deal.

Regarding them co-exsisting, i have a pair of each in my tank and never had a problem. They shouldnt see each other as a threat.

Well the tanks a 75 galln with a 30 long refuge/sump.I've checked the tank with the lights off and I cann see things darting all over the place in the hundreds,Also the fuge has much of the same.
I also setup a bowl with pods that I've had breeding for weeks.Every couple of days I add a turkey baster load to the tank...
Any more input as to what I'm doing.
Thanks............

No conflict between a scooter blenny and a mandarin. They do, in fact, eat the same type of copepod. However if the tank is fully loaded with copepods it should not be a problem. Live rock coupled with a refugium should be adequate if the tank is greater than six months old. If you ever decide to add a second mandarin be SURE it is the opposite sex.

You can get supplemental copepods by mailorder---I do, since I have a mandarin, two firefish, and a ywg that compete for them. I'm trying to figure out how to make a refugium I can get between my corner tank and the wall, which I think is the best answer.

I've got a bowl thats set beside the main tank. All I do is put some water from the main tank into everyday. Then every week I'll pull some out of the bowl and put into the main.
Thats til I set something else up.
