Mandarin vs flatworms?

I did a search and read a lot about people trying to rid flatworms with Mandarins but didn't get much feedback if it worked.

Does anyone know if a Mandarin will eat flatworms? I have a small flatworm problem developing and want to end it before it gets worse. I'm lucky enough to have a pellet/frozen eating Mandy in my 20L that I can "borrow" for my 40B.

Thanks for any responses

They do not eat flatworms. I always hear that the green spotted will but have seen no evidence that such is the case.

I've seen one eat them, the vast majority ignore them. There is no fish I've found that is a surefire bet to get rid of fw. If your goal is to get rid of them, go with FWE, as vertwake recommended. If you have a fish on your wishlist that might eat them, go for it. But don't get one counting on it to solve the problem.

Our mandy (S. splendidus) used to eat them, not voraciously, but definitely on purpose. However, you could tell they tasted kinda bad by the fish's reaction after it grabbed one. Our leopard wrasse did a much better job on them.
