Mantis I.D. - G.smithii ?

I have acquired yet another mantis shrimp lol but I am abit confused as to the species it may be...at first I thought G.smithii anyone care to elaborate on this more ?

Sorry for the poor quality -_- the mantis is in a species tank that is inside another tank so the camera had to go through 2 layers, first of glass (with algae on it -_-) then the plastic containers wall...so it makes getting good specimen shots hard -_-.





Cheers for any help you can provide, this mantis has an interesting color, dominant color is light red with yellow for appendages!

But there is no black on G.glabrous and on the mantis I have posted pics of you can see the black dots on its appendages either side

any sign of stripes across the back?

No signs of stripes across the back just 1 color a dark red maroon color

Looks like a ternatensis to me...

Come on, guys, this one is easy. I know of only one stomatopod with this color and pattern of the meral spot.

Gonodactylaceus Falcatus? Looks like spotted knuckles, yellow meral spots.

You got it. More than a yellow meral spot, there is always a greenish tinge.
