Heres a B movie that shows how far the inner squegee reaches into the neck, ive only shown the front half of the rotation....i didnt want you all to fall asleep.

I just have to pull a little more of the neoprene out at the top to get the top little bit it misses.




Doug,

The frag tank dimensions are..18"wide x 48" long x 12" high.
The overflow portion is 6" to allow for 2-1.5" durso`s.
the remaining 40" allows for a 36" halide fixture to fit comfortably.

The tank was built, then black acrylic panels were cut to fit on the side and back, this lets me remove them completly for cleaning.

Marc your tank and setup is totally awesome. I couldn't even dream of all of what you have done and I'm pretty handy.You must have nerves of steel to be able to not just go out and buy this stuff. Love your tank!

I think it might be closer to a wallet of steel, someone seems to have welded mine shut.

Really, i just love to build...sometimes it would be so much easier and actually cheaper if id just settle down and buy some of this stuff.

so true, but then there is no self satisfaction from a good DIY result. And don't you love when people visit and ask, "what the hell is that thing?"...I know I do. Even experienced reefers will be baffled by some things I have built, and then I get to explain how it works. I love to watch the Black Box Effect wash over a visitor's face.

Jnarowe, Agreed.
Its a catch 22 , i really try not to confuse the black box look with the very similar slight tilt of the head, inferring that they are gonna call intervention on me when they get home.

Ive never spit pea soup either, but i think my head might be spun around one too many times.
Turns out i wasnt possessed....It was because i was watching my skimmer neck get cleaned, a little too closely.
