Marc Weiss Coral Vital?

If you check back through the history of Tank of the Month articles....none of them were Coral Vital driven systems :D

That doesn't mean it wont work though....or does it?

So a guy at a LFS was trying to get me to buy "Coral Vital".
lights should go off anytime somebody tries to sell you something at a LFS

you guys are funny. I've been around long enough to know not to buy what their selling. I was more shocked, i guess than anything to see that Copper was an ingredient. Is it a reefsafe copper.... I didn't think so.

it is probably a very minor impurity. Lots of good reef products have it listed in the ingrediants, such as ESV's B-ionic but don't contain anywhere near enough of it to hurt any of your aquarium inhabitants. but Marc Weiss's products are definitely Junk. the claims they make in their advertisements are absolutely ridiculous.

You are better off just adding some sugar or vodka. Coral Vital is just an expensive carbon source. I used the stuff in tanks fifteen years ago, and it worked, because the active ingredient is sugar. I guess that product was way ahead of its time. Don't waste your money on it now, just grab some C&H.
