March meeting

Reef Bass

colors and textures
The March meeting will be Saturday, March 13 at noon here at my house. PM me for the address.

I will be giving a demonstration on macro reef photography, from preparing to take the shot all the way through posting a pic on RC.

Bring $10 each and we'll order some delivery / takeout.

Hey Ken,
If I can get my canopy done can I bring it over and have a few of you reef smarties help me wire it. That is if I get it finished and if I get all the bulbs and reflectors from Steve. I have a 72 inch VHO on a 660 and 2 workhorse ballast with 8 t5 bulbs that need to be wired. I'd do it after the photo shoot. I'm excited for the demo I need to learn how to take better pics.

PS: If it rains I can't bring it so I guess I'll have to check the weather.

Ken, I will try to be there.

Shane, I can help you with the wiring if you want. Make sure to download and print the schematic for the 600 and the workhorse ballast.

Hey guys all of the above sounds really interesting plus I would love to see Shanes wiring project, If any tools are required I have pretty much everything just let me know what to bring. Grant

Sure Shane, bring your canopy. Wrap it in a couple large plastic garbage bags if the weather isn't cooperating.

Bummer. :sad1: I thought you guys started meeting at Jofish. My daughter goes to the Redwood Empire Gymnastics which is next door.

Sounds good guys I'll bring the canopy, I painted the inside white last night. I don't have any electrical tools except for wire strippers and volt meter so if we need anything else can you guys bring it. I'm guessing i will need some waterproof wire connectors, maybe some heat shrink...anything else? I actually have three workhorse#5 ballast. 2 for the canopy and 1 for the fuge. So maybe we can wire my fuge one too but nor connect it to anything. All the newbie’s will get a good demo from you reef smarties. I almost have the fans all wired up and connected to the canopy. It looks soooo coool. Three fans on each side with all them hooked up to a central control then it is ran to my RK for temp control. I have it set to come on at 79.5 and the chiller at 80.2. Let me know if I need to bring anything else?

Ken,

I am getting spoiled as these are the best commute meetings ever!!

It so happens that I am off work on only one Saturday this whole month and it happens to be the 13th, see you there and let us know if we need to bring anything....Craig.

I had planned to leave H'burg around 11:20 on Saturday morning, but could leave at 11 and pick stuff up at the winery if you'd like (I'm guessing you'll be there that "early"?).

Hey Nate, You could stop by my house in SR on your way down. I don't have to be at the tasting room until around noon.

Chris are you donating what's left over inside the barrel ? lol

Btw, If you can make it to the meeting you should go because Ken's tank is full of sps and is beautiful too look at. He also has a nice lps tank too.
