March trials and coral pics

well, march was a mediocre month. my calcium reactor sprung a small leak at a seal and made a little mess. also, after replacing my UV sterilizer bulb, it sprung a little leak at the wiper nut. i've noticed more algae as i've upped my feedings because of more fish. i experimented in controlling that algae by increasing the flow thru my phosphate reactor and noticed some RTN on a couple frags :mad2:.

despite the minor setbacks, most corals are growing pretty good. pics taken with our canon a95.

thats all folks.

brian, the ponape doesn't have much polyp extension on it for some reason. i can tell the red stag is still acclimating to my tank conditions. i think i might have it up too high :(.

Tim
My Ponape doesn't have much polyp extention during the day all you see is the tip of the bright purple polyp in the corlite. from what I have seen in mine as well as other's tanks the red stag hase a hard time for the first month in a new tank then the color really perks up mine is just stating to look good and it loves the light Clint has it 12-14" under 400W MH

Tim- My Red Stag has really just started to encrust. I have been looking for a fire engine monti. Where did you get that and how long have you had that one.

PS. I think you need to do some rearranging of your rocks;...oops...more frags for Mark. I did not see any pics of Howie.

thanks for the kind words everyone.
brian, i'll keep a close eye on the two i got from you :D.

mark, the fire engine monti i have originated from copps in november of 2005 (way before it became an AE coral). copps called it a vesuvius danae and it glows like crazy :D. howie will be in upcoming photos :).

herman, can you help add to my collection? :D

Sorry to hear about all the mishaps, Tim:( You wouldn't know it by the way your tank looks, though:)

The Fire Engine Monti looks really nice. Now, I regret giving that one away when I had it:mad:
