i got mine from nelson and ralph when they brought the shipment in. I came in early since the people that go to those things are sellers so they cherry pick being third pick wasn't that bad but the second guy took so many pieces especially the granulosa the only one that was brought in and yea 25$ a pop cant beat that.

You've piqued my interest in the mariculture pieces. I may get some in the future to test them out.

I'm looking for millepora and some torts maybe. If you see some nice ones, let me know. My QT is ready to handle them.

ok so after hours and hours of reseach I found where my pieces came from. Now with this information i can replicate there needs better. not to mention sun requirments , moon simulation. water temps etc.

I picked up a few pieces this week, cut the bases off, and have them in QT.

One piece RTN'ed almost completely already, but the other three look good so far. I am going to let them settle for a week or two and then begin my dip process.

Very nice good luck with them mine are doing well with the exception of two. But they are still alive

The green/blue one receded quite a bit, but the others are doing well and holding. I am dipping them all tonight for the first dip (let them settle for a bit) of the 60 day program.

I've picked up a few mari colonies from a guy from Long Island. I wonder if it's the same guy you've been dealing with. Nice guy, great looking corals.

He told us at our club meeting (he's a sponsor) that after a few days in the tank and once PE looks good, he recommends completely cutting the base off due to various reasons that I don't feel like mentioning. I added them last night and they all had PE in the bags and look good today. I'll give it a few days, cut the bases off and remount like he recommends.

all these pieces are coming in from same place, just some stores don't try to rape you on price, trueblack ive probably met you at the store, I use to work there on sundays, pop one of those pieces of the rock and take a look inside. lol I always dip and break them off the rock's, be careful dipping any smooth skinned acro though

I kept everything on there bases and have had no issues at all, by the way i dont buy from stores LOL so i dont think we have meet but maybe some day we will.

I have tons of wild and mariculture acros I keep the base on from what I thougr is they usually farm the nicer and good colored Acros they will brown out then come back a diff color or better its a gamble somewhat ...mine always like a lot of light and flow
