marine magic dosing pump review

Interseting. That pump has a whole new front panel and lcd control than mine. Mine has a separate timer and LCD for each pump....

I just ordered one of the 'new' ones like fcmatt. My friend has the older model with the 3 separate timers. He has had it for 4-5 months and loves it.

The new one seems like they have built in RAM so you wont have to be worried about loosing programming incase the back-up batteries die over time.

I am very excited to see how this new version works out!! I'll report back once I get it and set it up.

I just ordered the tripe marine magic Dosing, question where do I get the container that hold the cal and alk, so forth an any certain one?

You can just go out and buy a 1 gallon jug of distilled water from the grocery store and use that. Some folks use 5g buckets which is still a cheap alternative. :)

I went to bed bath and beyond and picked up some containers that fit my size needs.

Just got the new triple today, will play with it later.

Received the new model triple doser today. It is smaller than I expected to be, which is cool. Did some testing on pump a and b in manual mode on speed 4. It is very accurate so far. If this thing holds up which i think it will it is a super buy.

I just checked the auction page for the triple doser version, it said:

ORIGINAL COST USD 184.00

TRIAL VERSION COST USD 149.00 + USD 15.00 (Delivery cost)

What does trial version mean? Does it mean that it's a pilot test product?

Yes, they just revamped it last month. The suggestion from the guy is to run it 2 weeks first to test things out, then if things are good, go ahead and use it on your tank. :)

i ordered one a couple days ago.
i hope it delivers sooner than it says cause if I have problems with it, it may be outside paypal's dispute period.

What if it's not good, what are you supposed to do with it? Send it back? It seems strange that they didn't have users testing it well enough before they put it on sale :)

I had a defective unit. They responded promptly to my e-mails, tried some trouble-shooting and when it still didn't work they sent me a new pump within a week and a half. Excellent customer service, very easy to deal with especially with them being in Hong Kong.

This is great to know, thanks for sharing.

Has anyone used their new-triple-trial doser yet? How is it? Thinking of ordering one but don't want to be the guinea pig:)

I ordered the newer version of this dosing pump and the seller said it was shipped out May 30th I still haven't got it yet but he did say 7-12 days if no problems with customs.

Well I spent a bit of time testing it out it's not on my tank yet wanted to see how slow and how fast these pumps can do.At first glance your looking at the menu and your lost but then after some baby steps and instuction reading your off to the races. Now take in mind that the three pump doser that I got not all pumps did the same amount at a given time. But each pump did repeatedly give me the same amount. (five tests per speed at 25 second intervals) so once I found the sweet spot for each pump (however long it took to give me 1ml) you can pretty much dose anything down to 01ml (basicly a drop) but I'm going to play with it a lil more over the next couple of days.Oh and my days of manual dosing are OVER.... yessssssss

Any Pictures of the setups???

I just went to buy one and I think they are sold out... How are the MC-03-M pumps, the ones that look like the Bubble Magus?
