marine magic dosing pump review

can I use the dose pump to dose KALK? my tank is only 34G, about .75g vaporization per day. Will that make the pump wear out very quickly?

second, i don't have a sump, can i dose from the floor to 4-5feet back of tank?

you can use it to dose kalk however IMO I would just get an aqualifter pump $20.00 to dose it with a ATO system. it will be cheaper and will last longer than these dosing that much a day. these type of dosers are more for precision like for cal. alk. vodka ect.
 
so how is everyone liking these pumps? i dose a 3 part system but am wondering if i should just get the two pumps and dose my mag manually. anyone got any input? i just dont want barely use the 3rd pump but pay more money for it.
 
i really like my pump. I am considering switching to the 3 pump unit though so I can dose alk. cal. and vodka. the dual pump works great for cal. and alk. as the mag don't need to be dosed as often.
 
I would say the new version as it says you can add more channels to it if needed.

moondoggy4 the way I primed it was by just turning it on to fast speed until it comes out the end.
 
I just purchased the new style marine magic triple doser. Looks awesome hope it performs as good as it looks. I was always eyeing these but glad I waited for this update. It was only $164 shipped. Does anyone know about how long it takes for these to ship from China?
 
so i am having problems calibrating my unit. i set up my solution as follows. 50ml is equal to 1g of pot ash for alk. in my tank that is .3 dkh. i have a daily usage of .8dkh but even dosing twice a day i am unable to keep it consistant. i am having problems keeping my alk at 9... so i am wondering if i should set my unit to dose for times throughout the 24 hour cycle.. does anyone have any suggestions . im leaving for puerto rico for 2 weeks on a diving/vaction. my neighbor is gonna take care of it for me but i still want to be able to know what is going on . i dont know how to hook up my apex to the internet yet
 
if you have a vial that reads in ml. then you can do what I did to test. i set it up to run for 20 sec. on the fast speed and took a reading on the vial. then you just divide that by 20 and that will be how much it will dose per sec. for mine 20 sec. was = 10ml. or .5ml per sec.

if this is the newer unit with the built in cal. I can't help you with that as I haven't ordered the new one yet.
 
So im about to pull the trigger and buy one of these triple dosers. I have seen two different types...one with the lcd screen on the top and one with the screen on the front by the pumps. Which one is the newest model? The one with the screen on top is 149 and the one on the front is 199.

Somebody help me decide.
 
actually now that I have seen them all I beleive they are actually 2 diff. companys. the marine magic will be the black one with the LCD on top. I have not tried to use the other company and don't plan on it due to likeing the marine magic brand still.

if you do get the other brand let us know how you like it.
 
Just an update on my dual pump (Marine Magic) I could not get one of the pumps to work and did some trouble-shooting through E-mails with the owner.

Still was not able to get it working and they have sent me a new one which I am waiting on.

So , if anyone gets one and has problems, customer service was excellent.
 
i have the marine magic not the other one mentioned. like i said im just having problems trying to figure out my actual useage and replacement
