well at 150 dollars for a triple doser.. adding in a 50 dollar UPS to give it quite
a long run time without losing power is still a killer deal when talking about dosers
in general. I know that little unit would run quite a while on a small UPS.. i just
need to figure out how long it and a mp10 would last.

Hm. I need a UPS calculator of some sort unless someone here can give me an
example of what to look for.

Looks like I would want something that does about 50 amp hours... which would get me
several hours.

i just received my a couple days ago and i was wonder how to do yuo set up to dose twice a week or do you need to make smaller dose amounts to where it will dose a little everyday?

what are some other schedules for dosing?

Mine just got here today. Its kinda late, so I will experiment tomorrow with it. But he shipped it on the 20th and it got here in 5 days. Not bad. I think I ordered it a couple of days before that. So about a week.

I contacted the seller of the marine magic dosing pump and he told me that the unit is to be ran laying flat with the lcd screen facing up not vertical.
 
I just got mine and played with it a bit. I thought the pumps were very quite. I will have to play with it more... it seems that 20 seconds on speed 4 will do around 5ml... For the price I was happy.

How to change the Temp to F?

Ok that's what I was thinking. Here is another question for everyone(since this is my first dosing pump) can you have the dosing liquid, or containers holding the fluid, higher than the dosing pumps themselves? It would look like this from top to bottom: 2 part solutions, then hose to dosing pump(s), then hose down to sump. Would this work or would it siphon the fluid out somehow?
 
I've spent some time over the past few days testing the unit to ensure it provides consistent drip rates. I have the 3 pump model and have noticed the drip rate is consistent per pump, but varies accross each pump. For example, I have tested pumps 1 and 2 on drip setting S2 for a minute each and found that Pump 1 produces 4.5 ml and pump 2 3.75 ml.

Are these results normal?This is my first dosing pump so I'd like to know if this is expected.

I work in the IT industry and am fairly familiar with UPS sizing. That said I usually am calculating the power requirements for data centers, not a small single device. :)

Most UPS manufacturers include a data sheet with their unit that gives run-times based on various percentages of load. For example, a small 500W unit might say that it will run 100 minutes at 40% load (200W) so you do the math based on the wattage used by the doser to figure out your run time for that given UPS. Small desktop units are usually in the range of 350-700W and any of those will power a doser for quite some time, as well give you some added power protection.

APC has a calculator on their site if you want to take a look (you can guess the address easy enough) but others probably do to. I use Liebert models myself and Besy Buy has an inexpensive house brand too that works well enough for this purpose.

I sent an email to perry cheng, and asked him a bunch of questions, still waiting for a reply. But I did find that each pump can be set on four different speeds so maybe one pump is on a different speed. I tested mine right out of the box and pump A runs a tad faster than pump B and C. But I'm still playing with it. Found these on youtube.

Each of my pumps run at different speeds also. What I am having problems with is the little connectors they provide, for the tubing on the pumps to the regular tubing, leak. They either let air in on the intake side or they let liquid out on the pushing side.

Make sure you push the tubing onto the plastic connector really good, mine do not leak at all.

Actually, I also had an issue with the tube connectors. One of them cracked when I installed into the tubing. I send a note to the vendor and he send he would send me some more.
