anyone cycled a tank with this product before? My brother in law has a 55 gallon FO tank taht has sprunga leak. no Lr in it so the 12g NC that most of his inhabitants are going into is pretty much raw. will use some established sand and water but rock is supposedly "cured" from drsfostersmith.com. If we use bio spira will it help eliminate a normal tank cycle from the LR and it being such a new tank?

The freshwater one works well. I've never used the saltwater one.

Works for saltwater as well... worked great for me! The product doesn't reduce your cycle or make it fast ... it simply covers you with enough bene-bacteria so the cycles don't spike where harm could be done to your livestock. I always suggest a natural cycle however when transferring tanks bio spira can be a life saver.
