Marineland Marine series tanks

The stands are that short because they won't fit through a door otherwise. I think they are 28" tall to fit through a 30" door on their side. If you build a stand either have a LARGE door or build it in the room where the tank is.
If you can get one with the tank, stand and canopy for $2000.00 you better buy it .

I'm picking up the 300 gallon version on Saturday. It is coming with the stand and hood in the black finish. I don't want to keep the hood and the stand. If anyone is intrested in purchasing it. I plan to let it go for a very resonable price. I need more clearance in the hood for MH's and the stand is to low for my tall self. I'll post some pictures of it Saturday when I get it home.

mmfish, I think you gotta get your facts straight. There are a few LFS that do sell the new deep dimensions tank. Check out Scales, he even had a sale when they were first publicly anounced.

That's a good point - hadn't thought about that. That's why the tank is on 27" tall DUH.

I love mine. Everything is very high quality, but they are very affordable for a tank that size. I paid $ 2,200 for the 250 tank, canopy and stand. The Stands are well engineered and are made out of WOOD!!! The starfire is only on the front. It is only a $ 100 more, but I would pay much more for starfire than that. Starfire is completely overrated IMHO.

I personally like the low stands. Corals look better from the top.

I already have mine (with starfire) and can tell the difference. Just for the others reading the thread, please clarify your statement above as you contradict yourself.

My 300 should arrive in about a week.

the starphire makes a huge difference when youre talking 3/4" glass.

wait till its filled with all those nice corals. then look from theside, then the front. Night and Day.

maybe ive just a sharp eye due to my photography, but i noticed a big difference.

either way for the price, why not right?
