Mark's 180 Starfire upgrade

I'm not sure exactly what lens I shot this with, but a higher number on my f/stop usually helps. FTS' are tricky because the edges are the first to lose detail :(
Great photo Mark. The PPT always catches my eye and is that the LITS in the center? Trying to learn...so a higher f stop leads to a bigger focus area but fish tend to blur, right? Do you compensate by increasing the ISO or does that even work

Yes Dan, thats my LITS colony :p

f/stop is aperture and ISO is sensitivity to light and they are a bit different. I like Rockwell for some stuff, but I do not think it is bonded word like some. Hope this might help

Looking gorgeous & healthy. Very nice picture Mark.

Mark, what is the current lighting set up on your tank? Love the tank.

Lighting display: 4 - 250-watt 20K Radiums
2 - 250-watt SLS Blue Wave 7 HQI ballasts
4 - Lumenarc mini reflectors
2 - 160-watt URI Super Actinic VHOs
1 - IceCap 660 electronic ballast
LED moonlights

hey mark . think we could get a pic of some of the acros on the right side of your tank?

Sorry Frankie. I have not been in the mood to take any pictures these days. I finally got a new mac a couple days ago and I am still trying to learn the programs before I load Light-room or any other photo editing programs. Right now I am ony trying to post the last few that are residual from the TOTM article. Besides, the right side will be getting changed around quite a bit once a couple pieces are done in QT

It's ok I guess that'll do. Can't wait to see what your tanks going to look like. Maybe you'll be satisfied..... at least for a little while :spin2:

Thats highly doubtful as I was talking to my wife yesterday about a new tank and her response was "but it would have to go in the garage" :eek2:

Awesome pictures and setup Mark!
