Tell us why you are considering option 2? Is this just to keep your thread going so you don't have to work on the tank?

Seriously, get someone over there to at least put the thing in the house. If nothing else, put it on the stand and fire the lights so we can all ooh and ahh.

I cut the holes to put it there. I just need to find another piece of plumbing to extend the return under the waterlevel.

I would have the lights fired up, but I don't have the lamps, the female extension plugs, ballasts...you get the point. I am tracking 5 different deliveried right now though

I am thinking that Saturday would be a good day to get the tank on the stand.

Mark, if you need help this weekend, let me know. I may be able to convince my wife to let me out of the house(crossing fingers!). I'd love to check it out anyhow.

Very nice work Mark!!

Baller status ;)

Thanks Jim. I used to refer to my 90 as "my hooptie". This one I will have to come up with a different nickname :p

I vote for option 1. I think it will block less light then option 2 and looks real clean!!

Thanks Rob. That is what I originally thought, but I have learned its always better to ask for wiser opinions. I want things to be clean on this sytem. My friend ceyx showed me the eurobracing trick. I am also T-ing off different bushings that will direct feed my CA reactor, phos reactor and carbon reactor.

Special delivery

The UPS man just came by a little bit ago. I got my two hood fans (Thanks Mikey). I also got a box from Marine Depot. It was my water colors black background, a second wavy sea, my bushing for my special plumbing needs. Since I had them delivering, I also picked up some scraper blades and some more Phosar HC; That stuff rocks:lol2:

And I decided to have a trial run with the hood. Thanks Shawnee for stopping by.

And one for reference with the three LA minis showing my clearance and accesability. Rubicon, aka Rubi, my Brittany Spaniel thought she might show everyone what a real "Bird Dog" looks like.

Great progress mark!

I also have two wavyseas and mine are dead smack in the middle of the tank depth wise and one at 24'' and the other at 48'' length wise. I can't notice any shadows whatsoever, but I'm running T5s so there is more light coverage. I think through euro bracing is prolly nicer but mounting it will be tougher, you can always use velcro. I originally did that on my tank and it worked out nice.

Btw, what is your return pump? Also you should look into having some fans blowing at the water during the summer if you haven't already. I cut my chiller usage by more than half doing that.

Thanks Gabe. You know that you are partially to blame. When I left your house well over a year ago, I was taken back how clean your set was/is.

I am running the snapper and I will mount both wavy seas through the bracing. I need to get one extra coupling. I found what I needed and now I have to find it in black. I thought of the velcro thing too and I tried it out with a small strip and it worked just fine.
I think you said you might have an extra propellar around in case I'd want to upgrade ;) I also heard that you are away from you tank for awhile.

I got two high cfm, low decible computer fans today in the mail. I painted the silver guards a flat black and I like the look. I will work on installing them tomorrow as well as hooking them to a single power source.

Haha, man that guy sam sure does talk, haha. Yeah I move to Japan temporarily to help out for work, but will be back in 5months. Yeah let me know, if you need the impeller. I have absolutely no use for it.

Before i left i bought a crap load of high flow low noice 60 and 70mm fans and some power transformers to make my fan cooling unit. I'll let you know how it goes and if i have some spare parts. :)

Mark, something's missing in this pic! ;)

I went and saw him and his son yesterday to pick up the minis. If something comes up while you are away, LMK. I am sure you have other people that will help, but if you get into a pinch, shoot me a PM.

Where in Japan are you? How is the LFS scene over there?

Thanks for the offer on the help :) Comforting to hear that I can have someone knowledgeable to fall back on.

I'm in Shibuya and I have no clue about the LFS scenery here, i haven't been scoping any out yet. I'll have try one of these weekends and let you guys know.

I don't get it. Is he suppose to be missing his pants and have a clearer picture of his reflection?
