I agree. Fed Ex is much more consistent than the guys in the brown uniform.

Fed ex is more reputable, but I use whatever that particular company uses. Let see, this week I should have arriving the rest of my shechdule 80 plumbing, a new ballast, my new radiums, a wavy sea, a vortech, my spectrapure top off, some John guest fittings and hopefully my reflectors. I still need to get my VHO's and I was also planning a trip to your reef this week sometime.

I think I need to make up some frag packs.

So far, I will have two vortechs on each end, two 6055 nanos in the back corners and I also have two other modded 6025's that I might attach to the trapazoid overflow that would shoot out to front the corners. My return pump is a snapper, but with head loss for my chiller and differrent feeds and I know I will lose a lot of pressure. Both of my return lines will be fed into wavy seas. I hope that make sense. I am going to start there , but I know over time I will add more flow. That is just how I roll.

No, I like the look of sand. I've thought it more than once, but I will be running a 1-2' ssb in my display and a MSB in the fuge.

How are you going to keep the sand in place with that much flow? I'm already having issues keeping my sand in place

I use a mixture of different sands, Some fine, some #3 sand and I also like to mix in med aragonite. The size of arm media really does well in places of heavy flow. That is another reason I like the nano's, you can put the 4" inches below the waters surface and point the upwards a little bit. I have a vortech, 2 6055's and a 6025 in my 90 with a sand bed. A lot of it just depends on where your rocks are too.

When I do my next trip to the Bay, I will hit you up. I know that I want to get over to see Erik's tank as well and I believe that you guys are not that far apart. I just hope I can make it down there before the BACFM in May.

i am going with 4 vortech and a 6045 in my elos 160 plus i going back to a super ssb :)

Yeah, but that is just crazy. You've seen Karls tank and he is not a flow guru. I happy around 60x turnover.

This tank will be a big change for you. Sand? Halides?
