Mark, I'm still at work and still waiting for some new pics :)

That's sweet that your Achilles is eating. I'm sooo jealous!

Just a tease :p

you sucker!! more pics now! Or I won't post here anymore :p What are you cooking in there? Looks like some hollandaise sauce!

Yep. That is because I just fired up the skimmer in a live rock bin that had been in the garage for over 9 months.

yuck. Shoulda been cookin the rock!

I did for two months and then I put it back in SW. I will be switching out my 90 with this 180 over a couple of days. I am pretty scared for my coral collection over that process. I am even doing a small 10-15 gallon WC and saving the water as well as doing a larger 25-30 gallon one tomorrow.

That picture was taken 1 minute after dumping in some sand as well. ;)

The cooking shoulda been done in saltwater lol. I fear switching ot my 190, just because the few corals I do have may die. so I feel your stress there. But from what I understand is if you have new dry sand, totally cooked live rock, and match the salinity from your old tank to your new tank, you should be fine. There shouldnt be a cycle, or your corals wont be stressed as much... If I recall correctly.

I did not get what I had planned today, but I was able to trick out my stand.

A shelf for my test kits and other assorted goodies. Don't worry, the levamisol stay in the garage.

My shelves for my ballast. The bottom is for my APC

I also added a couple other pieces in for attaching my refugium light and to help in fastening the plumbing. A buddy came by today with some old VHO's to help me mock them up, but I got caught up chatting and making another little box for my CO2 tank to sit on above my pump.

I will be using about 130 gallons of old water. I started a thread awhile ago in the SPS forum as I like stonies and got some great feedback. I will not be using any of my current SB except to seed the fuge. It is going to be a long and stressful week :eek2:

Damn Mark, you need to come to my house and rearrange all my equipment.

You mean for all that money that you spend on an Elos system, they don't do that for you

Thats odd, they recommended using your old water? Cool deal if thats true, I never woulda thought about doing that. I woulda figured get some new water. I mean unless all your perims are good. Mine arent the greatest right now, so I'll be needing to use all new water with my cooked rock! lol.

That stand is awesome. I was wondering what the heck you were going to use that levamisole for in the tank lol.

My parameters are pretty good for most of the time. The hard thing will be trying to dial in a new CA reactor. My Corals suck up more than 1 DKH a day :(

Ouch, thats when a reactor is a necessity rather than luxury. I tested mine for a little bit, and I had to put in a scoop of calcium every 2 days.... so I dont even test anymore. I just do it, and the clam and corals are happy.... a nice reactor would be awesome to have though.

This will be awesome when its up and running. Lookin forward to the livestock/coral progress =)

Mark, I feel it getting close. Man, you have all the nice toys for this set-up. Super sweet. What lighting /reflector did you finally decide on??
I finally decided to go with the Geiseman Spectra with a SE MH and the 4 T5's and my tank decides to really look hot lately. It's telling me to leave well enough alone. lol

I went outside to pick up and I ended up starting the vho assembly. I had to trim the mounting bracking down about 1/2" off each one. I just mounted a small wood nailer. I will need to take the canopy completely off to get a good angle to screw it tight. Tomorrow I will have to wire them together and play around with the back mounts as well. BTW, I know the VHO's are upside down;)

For some reason that dude came back
