Picture whore!!! :D

Too bad it looks like that round of photos are over exposed. I guess I should not process the pictures without the laptop being plugged in.

good stuff mark!!! I gotta come over to see the tank in person someday, I bet it looks 10x better in person than these pictures.

Thanks Josh. Actually all of my pictures are photoshopped and the tank is more brown than anything :p

I second that  Which features do you prefer..........LOL.

Do you shoot in full manual or partial? I am playing around with full but it's a PITA trying to get everything right.

Kenny, I shoot in full manual. I did notice that the last set of pictures are different from the previous session. I guess the bulbs are burned in now :)

Man, if we were still using film, it would've cost more than reefing. No wonder I never really got into photography until recently, even though I've always been fascinated with it.

What kind of urchin?

What kind of urchin?

Hey there what kind of urchin is this? Have you had problems with it eating lps or zoas? Or are you all sps? I had one that ate some palys and I thought oh well but it then munched on some of my favorite micromussa.
Thanks in advance,
Dr Doug

I am not quite sure of the species of the urchin, but so far, it has never consumed anything. It will move around a coral that has not encrusted once and awhile though.

Mark, you need to start posting camera setting info on your shots so I2ookies like us can learn something.

I have no idea of my settings. I put the camera in full manual mode and watch the IIIIII on the exposure in the lens to make sure its balanced out and push the button, Thats about it ;)

Wait a sec. I thought full manual mode means you have to set everything from aperture, shutter, etc.........or am I wrong?

Isn't that done through your menu in camera settings. I shoot corals around 400 ISO and I think, 20-25f/stop. I really don't know. I have never read any manuals or taken any classes. I am mostly trail and error. I only concentrate on exposure. That is why I still have so much to learn :(

Awesome pics. That last coral is really nice.

Thanks Jorge. The blunt white tips is something I have never seen before.

How is the 270 doing these days?
