hey mark what size uv do you have 18 watt?

I believe it's the 54 watt version, but I rarely turn it on any more with the bacterial products in the tank.

I took my daughter to the fish store today as my wife wanted some free time to take a nap; big mistake :D She used her Jedi mind tricks on me again and I ended up coming home with two new fish and a few new frags as well :p

The sad thing about this hobby for me is that even though the tank is mostly full to the brim and the jocs have decided it is their tank and have become fairly aggressive, I am trying to add two fish with very low odds of survival :(

Cirrhilabrus jordani ,

So its a Jordani, not a Roseafascia... It was hard to tell from the pic... :)

I'll be interested to hear how often your rubre is out (when the jocs are through chasing him)...

Yep, It was in sleek mode during the photo shoot, but I've posted some pictures of him flashing in the past.
I am not sure how the rubre is going to work out. This is not my first attempt :( Right now, the new additions are in floating acclimation containers for at least a day or two. They are both eating mysis and brine so there is no rush to let them into the war zone yet.

is that rainbow ??

Yep, they were a great looking paly when I had them. Since I have basically taken all of my softies out of my display, I pawned them off to a friend awhile back. I might have to see if he has any more as I have forgotten how good they look in photos :)

Which acclimation chambers do you use??? Have you found that using them helps any with aggression between current tank mates and new additions???

Randy, Here is the link to what they look like. It allows the other fish to get used to them and it also allows the new fish to feed and gain their strength. I think they are a must and I have been using then for awhile now.

Good info... And at that price, I don't see how you can go wrong... I'll look to pick one up sooner rather than later... ;)
