Thanks Brian. I really like that one as well. I got a couple other nice overall shots like that one as well. The new camera is still a work in progress, but it sure shoots quicker ;)

Must be a hard fish to shoot. I am very close to pulling the trigger on the 50/1.8 :)

For the price, it's a must have Kenny. I went to steinhart aquarium and fishermans wharf yesterday and I was not even tempted of taking any of my other lenses ;). My next lens will be the 24-70, but until then, it will do :p

Mark-

Great shots as always, man I gotta learn how to use a camera. How was the Steinhart? I'm taking the family up to SF over the July 4th holiday and was eyeing a day at the museum. Do you have to get tickets in advance? Was it crowded?

Thanks Dan. I am still learning about the camera and most of the recent shots were part of the first 80 that I took. I am just lazy as a processor as I lost a part of my PS and now it takes forever to process a picture :(

As for steinhart; Where can you go to see a 200,000 gallon phillipine reef exhibit, sea dragons, trunkfish, ventralis' and a few other goodies all in the same place ;) And, its still new. It will be great to watch it progress over the next few years. We have a yearly membership and we try to go once a month as Emma just has blast. As for tickets, I would buy them online and that way you do not have to wait in line. There are definitely people there, but its no where as crowded as it was when it first re opened its doors.

I've got to take a DSLR for Dummies class. I purchased a Canon 100MM macro and have no clue what I am doing.

Thanks for the tip on the Steinhart, it was between that or the Monterey Bay. I wasn't looking forward to driving out to Monterey though since we planning to stay in the city. I'm going to buy the Steinhart tickets now.

No problem Dan. I started to siphon out some of my sand today and replacing it with some larger grade substrate today. It doesn't take much for some corals to stress and start to brown out.

DId you not like the sand you had in there?

I liked it but with the canyons and as the corals started have really started to grow out, the flow has been funneled and some of the sand has been moved around and my chalices would go missing for a couple of days. I just added some to it and the existing sand will help fill in the gaps while the new larger sunstrate will hopefully help keeps things a bit more in place.

Mark - What were you soaking your new sand in, RODI?

Yep, it was soaked in RODI and I would stir it up every day and pour out the dirty water. I know too many people that just soak it and actually forget to clean it while they have the

That is what I'm saving up for... :)

I have not quite made the decision to start saving as I just dropped some coin on the photography hobby, but when I do, I might be making a couple of frag packs to help out with the means for new glass.

What kind of inverts do you have in the tank?

Mostly different types of snails, but also a pair of red serpent stars, an urchin and a cb shrimp.

tank looks awesome mark. bravo..

your photos have been a great inspiration for the sudden decline of my account balances. photography equipment was definitely absent from my original build budget :)..
