Def won't hurt. I swear by the UV now. I'd suggest the turbotwist which is what I run. Def make sure u stay in the lower part of the recommended flow though. What version of the kessil did u buy?

I got the 15K version called Ocean Blue. Here couple of pictures with only two of them on.Looks totally different than in real life ,because I can't get the shimmer effect on those pics.

What is your view on the LEDS? Are they comparable to the T5s? and btw you have an amazing tank!!

I would say they are not at all comparable to T5. They give a great shimmer effect and that is the main purpose I use them for. I think Kessil 150 are only good for LPS and softies,not SPS as the only light source. But I am very pleased with my combo ,as I get the great color with T5 and shimmer almost like with MH.

Thank you everybody. Today I got home and saw small white patch with no tissue on my Green Slimer and found the reason for it. Bad,bad crab. I don't know how it got there but it will no longer eat my corals.RIP crab.

I like them ,but only use it for shimmer in addition to T5's. I would not use them by themselves for SPS. They create fantastic shimmer even with all my T5 bulbs on.

Mark, so i'm thinking of getting a couple kessils 150s to supplement 2x250 MH on my 120. Do you think this would be a good combo? or should i stick with T5s with the MH. I ask b/c you've run them all.
