Maroon Gold Stripes and Anemones...help

Has anyone ever heard of a Moroon Gold Stripe being too rough with a rose bud anemone, loving it to death? I bought a larger one just to make my 3" Clown happy. Did fine for about a week, then the nem started retracting more and moore. It is currently as low as it can go in my 90gal on the underside of a rock over hang, looks like a toadstool with small nubs for tentacles. What should I try??

Yes, unfortunately someone posts every once in a while with a similar problems. The anemone needs to be 2 or 3 times in diameter the length of the fish. You definitely need to separate them. Some people put a plastic crate around the anemone, others put the fish in another tank, or even board it at the lfs until the anemone is back up to hosting. If you separate them and provide good water quality, lighting and regular feeding, you will be surprised how quickly a BTA can return to hosting size.

Sorry took awhile to get back up. 90 gal, .025 sal, 8.3 ph, Nitrates/Nitrites and Phos all min to 0, temp. 78 - 80, Alk - 10, Calcium - 400. Lighting - Current Nova Extreme ( 8 - 54w T-5s )
