Maroon pair in 10g ???

Have to move my GS Maroon clown pair as the 50g they are in is being taken down to upgrade to a 90g in the next couple of months (50g is sold now) can I keep them in a 10g by themselves for several months? It will have live rock from the tank they are in, sandbed from tank they are in....and thats it.....OK or not a good idea? They are not very big...the male is only about 1.5 inches and the female about 3 inches. Thanks!

maroon clowns are much bigger than percs...so i'd say no you cant, especially since you say for several months. A month...maybe...but more than that i'd say no.

ahh..just read that they're small...i'm not sure how fast these guys grow, but they might be fine by themselves in a 10 for a few months...once they get bigger than like 3 inches or so tho...id say you gotta move them.

I think that would put a lot of stress on them...a 20maybe but 10....ugh.

If you needed to you could use a bigger rubbermaid maybe, or advertise for a cheap used tank. In the end though, a ten gallon is better than homeless. lol
