Mate for C. interrupta

I want to see a narcosis x colini hybrid

If I ever find myself with a narcosis I'll purchase a colini for it!

It's great how we are all so nervous when fish are being shipped. Shows how much we care for them. I've had the easy part of being on the receiving end and I still sleep fitfully while they are in the air.

Faith and Jaws are both excellent and we now have two oinkers!

A month ago, Fabio was a bachelor, Jaws was a NJ resident, and you were just starting a thread about another angel to introduce him to to try to breed a hybrid.

You never know Karen :)

Well said!
And I have to say that this has been the most surprising and rewarding month of my life because of this small group of big hearted people with such a commitment to reef life!!

Here is the site for the blog that will follow the progress of the Faith and Fabio project.

I've posted a short video of Fabio and the bandits (sounds like a band) and also one of Faith in a feeding frenzy. The blog will be slow to start with and once Faith and Fabio are together and get spawning there will be much more information to share.
Faith is still in quarantine and doing great. The "first date" for Fabio to meet his new girlfriend is planned for Aug. 30 when Faith will be moved to Fabio's tank with an egg crate divider to see how they respond to each other.

Jaws the Jersey Joc is also doing great and will move out of his Q tank and into a regular tank tomorrow. So I'll get some video then.

I can't see the videos, maybe there not Apple friendly. Glad things are going well Karen, if I ever start a band Im going with either Fabio and the Bandits or Jaws and the Jersey Jocs, haha.

Nonimmigrant, Normally that tank is at ambient room temp and in Aug and Sept it has gotten up to 82F. (This year it has gotten up to 80F). It's unfortunately located in the warmest spot in the fish room. Fabio and the bandits have been in it for over 2 years and do well. When Faith arrived I brought my chiller from another tank out to that one. It's an aqualogic chiller with a drop in coil so it's easy to move around and use anywhere. Currently I have it running at 78F and it can keep the tank at 75F easily if needed. (Running at 75F on that tank in the summer adds $80 to my monthly electric bill.) In the winter ambient temp is in the low 70s so the chiller never runs and I usually put it away to keep it out of the salty environment.

SDguy, Yup. He's a big boy!

Aquaph8, not sure why you can't see the video. I'm on a really old mac and it downloads very slowly but I can see it. Also used a newer Apple to post it.

Wayne, I sure hope to make some CB bandits. They are one of my favorites and the little ones that Freedive43 gave to the project are soooo cute.

Humaguy, I'm ready for your fish anytime and having them arrive on Friday, Hawaii's Statehood Day would be great. (I checked with state Ag. and they will have an inspector at FedEx on the holiday so we're good to go at this end).
