I am doing some final coral placement and am having trouble finding pics of mature milli colonies to know what growth pattern to expect. I still have to mount:

Paris hilton milli
Palmers blue milli

If you have pics of mature colonies or links to them i would love to see them!

Thanks!

I have a pretty mature Paris Hilton milli. I think the growth is pretty weird in that it's fan shaped. Spans probably 8-10". I don't really have a recent pic of it but will take one soon.

Actually, here's a quick ipad pic I just took. It's terrible quality and you can't really see the true colors, but you can get an idea of the structure.

thanks for the info!

Looks like flow and lighting will influence the pattern like everything else.

Think im just gonna plant it and let it grow!

Isn't this yet another nearly identical piece to Rommel's Watermelon, Red Planet, TDF? None of which are A. millipora and are most likely A. hyacinthus.

Here's an old shot of a RP colony and is what you should expect...

As far as Palmers, here's an idea of what a colony will grow like... This is about 6" across from a couple months ago

Different perspective of A. hyacinthus

Here was my AquaSD Rainbow Colony...just broke down my tank a few months back, so really missing this piece and my entire livestock for that matter. Hope to be back in hobby soon :(
