At least i already got the ball rounding about 2 weeks ago when i first report the shafts problems. Shouldn't be a long wait for replacement shafts now.

Well that's slightly less than a MJ1200 motor. My guess is it's in between a MJ900 and MJ1200. Nevertheless you should still be able to use it with the mod kits using the medium propeller maybe even the larger prop even. I've actually only seen a MP1000 once and never actually used one.

Just look up the spec on both the Maxi Jet 1000 and 1200 and both consumes 20W. The difference I noticed is the 291gph vs 295gph (which is nothing) respectively.

well I dont know what happened but I found that one of my mj1200s with the sureflow wasn't working today, when I was checking it out I found that the impeller drilled a hole through the maxijet on the back. is this because the stopper didn't work properly and the propeller was spinning backwards?

Their should be a while washer between the impeller and the end connector to keep it from wearing out, did you take that out by mistake ?

No spinning backwards wouldn't cause this, the stopper would not let it spin backwards, Do you have them on a wave maker? This can happen on to the MJ pumps if they are stopped and started many times. Lots of people will actually remove the back of the Mj and add some epoxy to the back of the MJ where the end of the impeller sits, to reinforce it.

None of the manufacturers of these kits will warranty these when used on a wavemaker, so there must be a reason. The 1200's are much more powerful and have more of a problem with this.

But, take the back cover off the MJ , and you can see where the impeller sits, cover it with some epoxy to reinforce it, then it should be fine. Not sure if you will be able to use the one that broke or not.

Nope.

You could also get a thin washer and glue it to the back cover where it meets the impeller housing and then glue the back cover on, this should be more than enough to eliminate this from happening.

Most of the kit makers won't warranty the MJ.....because they don't make the pump.

So many factors such as timer duration. How long did this unit last before it shot out the back?

anyone getting any noise out of their GSII? mine started to make a loud rattle last night, not on a wavemaker.
