MaxiJet sureflow 1600gph?

I ordered 10 of the 85# magnets, some for the aquarium some for other things. When I got the package today, there was a small hole in the box, and when I opened it there was nothing but peanuts. I phoned the company to get replacements sent out, and the person informed me that some times they get separated and can be sucked out if they are too close to a metal surface!

Has anyone had a loud sureflow that has quieted down over time??? I've had mine running for over a week, and it's still humming on and off.

Sureflow has pretty good customer service, you might want to contact them and let them know about the noise issue, they will work with you. Just talk to the people that you buy the sureflow kit from and they will hook you up with Sureflow customer support. Premium aquatic did that for me and that was very cool.

I replaced the tunze magnets with those and its so much prettier Can anyone confirm that the Ecosystem Ecomod's work with the MJ 900 and 1200? Some sites say all, others say just the 400/600.
Also, is the output the same among the models with the mod? i.e., does a 400 and a 900 output the same since it is just the one new propeller/magnet.

Anybody know about the second? Am thinking the only differences between them is the windings / impeller. And since the new kit comes with the same impeller, the only thing that would affect flow would be rotational speed. So, does a 1200 spin faster than a 600? or does it just have a bigger impeller and stronger windings to push it, thus, with the new kit, both would flow the same with no head pressure.

They are all 3600 rpm. (60Hz times 60sec per min)

If you are not going to run the 3004 prop on the Sure Flow then you might as well get a 400/600 or 900 MJ for the SF, it will be much more efficient.
I just ordered 2 of the Eco Mods yesterday. I was wandering if this would be a good replacement for my Seio 1100? I will be using the one either a 1200 or one of my 900's continuous in place of the Seio and the other on a timer with the other 2 maxi jets. Any opinions are welcome!
Someone tell me that I didn't just mess up by ordering the Eco Mod. I just read in an earlier post that Marine Depot has them for $14.99 so I thought I would take a look. I did and in the description it says for the 400 and 600 series pumps. I ordered 2 with the intention of using them on my 900's or maybe my 1200. I wrote an email to Champion Lighting to see what they said as their add states, "use with any Maxi Jet pump". Is there anyone running this conversion on their 900 or 1200 Maxi Jet?

I know this is way off topic but I have made it so the Hydror 4 can be used with a wave maker. If any one would like to now how I will go in to it. But $100 for the power head, left over stuff and a wavemaker pro new of e-xxy for 75. i have 2400 gph back and forth for $175 in my 330g.
Just a quick FYI.... I will be receiving a couple Triton Aquatics - Gulf Stream II kits soon and will test these against the Sureflow kits I have.

This is also what the manufacturer told me "You can infact inter-change the boat props on the impellor. Our "stem" is made to work on MJ1200/MJ900 magnets. The male end of the stem will support props with a 3/16" hole." thumbs up so far.
Can't wait til I get my hands on the kit.
