Maxspect LED owners!!!

48x18x21 -- the "standard" 75g dimensions

A few options really. If you don't want to worry about SPS in the future, you would be very well served by a pair of G2-110's. Heck, with optics you'll probably be OK with SPS up higher as well. If you ARE thinking of doing SPS/clams in the future, you may want to consider a pair of G2-160's.

A single unit of either the G2-170 or G2-230 would possibly work, but they are only 32" wide, so you'll have shadowing at the edges of the tank.

I haven't seen it mentioned anywhere, but how does FinsReef ship for domestic US orders? If mine shipped Monday or Tuesday, I'd expect that they should be showing up some time today..... and was wondering if my Wife should be on the lookout for UPS (around 10am usually), or USPS (more toward 4pm).

Do you normally get any notification that it's actually shipped, with a tracking number or anything? Or does it just suddenly show up at the door?

I need some help. I want a LED ramp that is GOOD for plants and LOOKS good. And i want it in around 8000 K if its possible.

I want to use cree leds and I have some ideas.
Cree led xp-G cool white (6700 K) and CRI-80 white (4300 K) to get the red and the blue spectra. I also want to add some royal blue xp-E for some blue and moonlight.

No to the problem, I have 36 led to play with (110 w version) and i want it to LOOK GOOD to. How many of every led do i need to get sufficient red spectra and make it look good? What would 14 cri-80, 14 cool white and 8 blue look like?

as I posted earlier my tank is 4x2x2 and I am running two 160w no crees or special optics and everything is doing excellent.

Pondering weather i want to convert my 180 gallon bow front from fish to coral. The lighting is my biggest issue. My tank is 32" deep, will any of the maxspect lights penetrate deep enough to support all coral growth? Thanks.

how long does the coral get used to the LED lighting ? did you place it on high level?

Some pieces have done well and others have gone downhill but I think it is more to do with my poor husbandry of late. Work is chewing up all my spare time and the tank has seen better days.
I have shadowed new corals for a few days before giving them full light. Given how much light they get on the reef I would say you will struggle to give most SPS too much light. My mate runs 3x 400w halides and it is only the morphs that seem to hide from the light.
Stable parameters and good flow are way more important than blasting them with heaps of light.
