Maxspect LED owners!!!

I used to own a small online business of my own. I don't know what the deal was, but I had regular issues with packages shipped to Canada via USPS. I don't know if it was a customs thing, or what, but it seemed the bigger the package the bigger the chance of a problem. UPS cost more (Sometimes by a lot), but at least I had some kind of tracking resource and rarely a problem.

But UPS didn't get any trouble across boarder, why USPS?
I got some UPS package from marinedepot and never got any problem.

My best guess is that UPS handles it all themselves, it never changes from one entity to another, and they do have a much more effective system for tracking packages. USPS only handles it to the border, then Canadian Post takes over. I don't know if it's during that transition, or when Canadian Post has it that the problems begin.

say smilodom I been waiting for two wks now for my lights was suppose to have last wk now this wk just got tracking number says Hong Kong don't know if it left there yet so hope to get my lights to, vacation come to.

Ok so your immensely helpful thread has convinced me to buy a maxpsect. I have a Elos mini tank and I plan on keeping softies and lps. My question is what lens kit should I get? I'm thinking I want a lens kit because I hate the light bleed out of the tank. Also should I get a suspension kit? I'm thinking the G2-60 might be to powerful for the tank using the tank mount. Anyway please give of your wisdom oh wonderful owners.

I send Brian two emails this monday and tuesday and didn't get any reply, so today I sent an email to Eric, and Eric reply to me within a couple hours, and he said he will give me an answer within 12 hrs.

Brian's uncle passed away on Tuesday, please give that man a breather. I'm sure he'll get back with you as soon as he's done with his family matters.

no I would say definitely not a must, I have been using the 160w models without the Cree's and I am keeping everything just fine in a 120g 48x24x24

lol sorry man, as far as the G2-60 unit, I don't know much about it and I don't really know the size of an elos mini either. The 60 is a bit different in how it is set up but the best person to talk to is Brian, and it seems as though he is tied up recently with life.

please advice

Here's a photoperiod that I saw earlier in the thread. Sounds like a good starting point, and adjust upward as needed

(Actinics) Blue/Violet -- ON for 8 hours
(Mixed) White with some B/V -- ON for 6 hours
(Whites) 30w Whites -- ON for 2 hours

Here's another one, with a bit longer photoperiod and a tank that was looking quite nice. A lot more time on the 30w's in particular.

- 11am blue leds on
- 11:30am blue + white leds on
- 12am blue + white + 30W white leds on

- 5pm 30W white leds shut down
- 8pm white leds shut down
- 9pm blue leds shut dowm

chercm,

in nature, a reef is lit for almost exactly 12 hours and sunrise/sunset are extremely short (30 mins to almost full light). I don't follow this rule, rather maintain a 14 hour day; 2hrs actinic/sunrise, 10 hours daylight, 2 hours actinic/sunset. It works well. I wouldn't go over 14 hours, as I believe certain photosynthetic organisms may suffer from O2 poisoning. Most life does need a rest from the sun.
