Maxspect LED owners!!!

.how many, what model?

.how many, what model?

well I have read my fair share of posts, and I'M SOLD

What will I need for a 60x24x24?

Thanks

What lights are you going to get? How many do you need for a 60x24x24
..? I have seen the question asked many times but without an answer.

I have two G2-160 on my 48x18x24, and I'll have three G2-160 on my 72x24x24. Usually one unit per 24" is recommended. At 60' you are in the middle. Go with three if your pockets are deep enough... otherwise start with two and see how they work for you.

My two cents.

I have a question,

I bought the light fixture before there was us distribution. If I have an issue now, do I deal with the us distributor or china?

I bought mine from "fish street" just prior to the US distributor coming on board and I asked who would provide warranty work. Erik @ fish street said they would continue to service units they sold for the duration of the warranty period.

Anyone interested in a used/like new in good condition Maxspect G2 400-160 fixture? been up for 4 months used but now wrapped in the box ready to be ship. The reason is i just don't understand why i keep burning up most of my corals up. i like the design and how quite it is but i think it's to intense for my LPS corals. Give me a PM and we can work something out.

Comes with everything that was included in the original box. thanks for your help!

How long are you keeping the 30watt LED's on? How close to the water is the light? If you don't use the 30watt LED's for too long and keep the light higher off the water, like you would with a Metal Halide, I think you should be alright.

I've been thinking of a DIY but from what I have been reading it seems like its totally worth getting these... I know my answer is probably somewhere in this thread but everytime I start readind I get interrupted... So here is my question I have a 4x2x2 tank which unit or units would you guys recommend and does anyone have a link so that I can check out and order...

+1

I was wondering how long you guys kept your 30W LEDS also. I have a 4x2x2ft tank. I have a few SPS on the top of my tank and LPS on the middle and bottom. Ive had my maxspects for around 2 months and i keep my 30W on for about 4 hours a day. So far so good i think. I dont use the strings that hang them over your tank so the LEDs are about 3 inches from my water level.

I was hoping to increase the lighting time because i had my halides on for about 8hrs a day and i was wondering maybe its time to increase lighting.

I was wondering how long D'espresso was running the 30watt LED's, because he was saying that it might be too intense. He should try raising it up off the water.
