MD Branded Refractometer

Hi -

I got a refractometer from Marine Depot for christmas. I calibrated it with ro/di water to 0.

I came across a post - "There has been a recent thread about the inexpensive generic refractometers sold by several online stores. Marine Depot has one that will not calibrate properly if you use distilled water to calibrate it to Zero."

Any more information? There is quite a difference between what my refractometer says and my cheapy swing arm says - ~ .003
