Meanwell LDD driver: for those who want to dim to 0 using Arduino

Hi O2Surplus did you get round to designing this one ?

Thanks
Simon

I have the shield completed for Duemilanove/Uno, but I'll have to spend some time to create one for the MEGA. I'll get around to it when time permits and definitely design it with the recommendations from that previous post.

They always respond to me too, but after I have sent them money. What are you trying to contact them about? Place the order, send the gerber files, done. They will email you when they receive the files to confirm and when they are sent to the board house.

that's strange I pay using paypal and email them with the gerber files 2 days ago and still haven't got a response to say they have received the files

I wouldn't worry too much. I've found boxes of PcB's laying at my front door before I got the Email confirmation that they'd been shipped! LOL.

rrasco, and O2surplus, thank you for all your work on this project. I just ordered my ldd1000h drivers, and working on ordering other needed parts for the board. What part do i need to order for the jumpers on the ldd-hx4 v3.0? I found the resistors, 8 position pheonix, and dip socket, but not sure what to search for the jumper pins.

Thanks for the reply, the ones i ordered are .1" spacing so that is good. I have a ton of jumpers lying around from years of IT work. I ordered these https://www.sparkfun.com/products/117

Once all the parts arrive i will post some build pictures. I am figuring a couple weeks for all the parts to make it. I did the slow shipping from iteadstudio. And still have to decide what leds to order.

A couple of us went in together on an order last week. We didn't receive anything about the boards or the files and they showed up here yesterday, so I'd say this is pretty typical right now.

My last order for boards only mail I got was when shipped
Time before that I got email that they revived my order I would not
worry if you don't get confirmation email

I ordered my original set (Revision 2 with the corrected screen) a week before we ordered a second set with upgraded shipping. The new board design showed up earlier this week. The older one showed up today, so I guess the "upgraded" shipping is only about a week upgraded.

The also shipped me 11 PCBs instead of 10.

Now I've got 8 extras lying around that I might let go.

Also, I've been told that by adding a 10k resistor to the -Vin it does the same thing as adding the jumpers. Do I understand this correctly?

The jumpers let you choose whether or not the extra 10k is seen in the circuit. Lets you choose essentially whether or not it has a default of Off when no PWM is applied or a default of FullOn when no PWM.

I have a few of the older rrasco V.1 boards just to make sure before I solder it in place I can use a 10K resistor from the -V on the power side to the pwm pin to kill the lights incase the arduino fails ?

The resistor get soldered between the PWM pin and ground (VIn -)
