Meanwell LDD driver: for those who want to dim to 0 using Arduino

Yep, LCD into the TFT shield and that into the Mega. As far as I know the code was not changed at all . When I bring up the Jarduino sketch, I can see it on my laptop, hit eeprom clear, hit upload,... it takes a few seconds to load because of the sketch size,... the Mega's little leds flash at the end of uploading just as it should. Nooooo picture on the screen???

just to make sure you have also disconnected the new temp probes also wright? so there is nothing else connected to it just trying to rule out shorts or grounds

Yup, last time I zapped my rtc because i soldered bad and the sda wire came off and touched 12vdc...the screen was blank white like your saying. Replaced it (the rtc module) and it was fixed.

The screen needs an accurate time reference (by this i mean period...in terms of frequency) in order to propagate the code is my best understanding of it.

Rick I had a bad TFT shield that caused the same issues you are experiencing. I shorted something on the board at some point and the LCD would not display. Maybe try another shield.

Hey Aqualund,....Thanks for that input, this is what's so great about these forums. I'll look into that further,...as I said I'm kind of at a loss as to what I did to make the screen not show the program. Your solution sounds like a probable answer.(although a new 2nd screen should show in the mail tomorrow) :headwally: Thanks,---Rick

Just rechecked the items you had for sale the other day,... and as luck has it, I seen you sold the couple you had,...I knew I should have bought them also.lol I have a new screen coming, but not the shield. By the time I'm through,... I should have bought the whole kit and kabutol,...mega, shield, and screen as a package deal.:headwalls:

Gotta 4 day weekend starting tonight.LOL I'm gonna spend some time soldering up another batch of 4upLDD-H/SCW's and 8upLDD-H/DualSCW's tomorrow. If I don't post again after that, assume I've been overcome by solder fumes and call the Paramedics please.

Hi rott,...I'm down in my Labor-atory right now. New screen new problem. The screen that came/I ordered is only 32 pin , so it won't plug into my shield. I have one of those 40 wire patch sets so I guess I can plug it all together manually to see if the screen is my problem before I buy another shield.(they sell shields that will accommodate both a 40 and 32 pin screens) Anyhow I'll post if/when I get the thing working.:D---Rick

where are you ordering from?

I bought it from these guys, http://www.ebay.com/itm/251258052124?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1497.l2648 because it was fast shipping(not cheap), but I thought they were sending me a 40 pin screen that I would be able to plug into the shield I already have that fits my mega. Now it looks like I'll need to get this shield http://www.ebay.com/itm/121057447668?_trksid=p2055119.m1438.l2648&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT another 10 bucks, but this needs to ship from HK. And all this to do some tests to find out why the program is not showing on the screen.
Like I told rott, I have some patch wires that I thought I would hook the new screen to my mega for testing, but I don't understand what plugs into what? :headwally:http://coldtears.lin3.siteonlinetest.com/files/Shield_pinout.jpg

I'm getting ready to order another batch of 10V to 5V Pwm convertors this week, so I thought I'd show some of the improvements that I made to the design. I made two different versions this time around. One will be PlugNPlay to the Profilux control cable scheme, and the other to the NEPTUNE APEX. The Original design had to grow a bit to fit the RJ12/RJ45 connections, so I put both designs on the same PcB to save on manufacturing costs. Both designs fit into an area less than 10cm X 10cm. I'll just cut them in two, after they're delivered.

Let me know what you guys think.
