Meanwell LDD driver: for those who want to dim to 0 using Arduino

I have a wiring question. I'm using the 4up Pcb and connecting the PS. Red to + and black to -. Where do I connect the ground from the PS to?

There should only be a + and - from your power supply. Three wires from the wall to the input. And two wires to the ldd board. The - is the ground that every thing in the DC side needs to connect to. Krazie :jester:

Hi guys, anyone tried to realize a 6up ldd pcb with scw and 3 pwm fans control? About the Scw, what you think about using a LM317 or LM2596, which seems to be much cheaper?

O2Surplus did a 6 LDD board with SCW and Fan control. Look through the thread and you should find it. I'll see if I can find the link in a little bit.

The individual components for the LM's may be cheaper but once you buy the rest of the parts and figure out how to put them on your board the price starts creeping up quick. They also put off quite a bit more heat that has to be dealt with. Krazie :jester:

I just found something from another guy, around page 65, but it seems to be without fan control and SCW.

I think page 65 is Joshlawless' 6up board which was just drivers. O2Surplus' are more recent than that I think. It wasn't that many pages back he posted his 8up which I think had SCW and fan PWM...

Just a quick question since I am second guessing myself. I have the coralux 5 up board. I am using all 5 LDDs controlling 65 RB (13 each) and I want to control all 5 LDD drivers using one PWM signal. Do I need to do anything other than just jumper all 5 terminals with one Pwm signal from my bluefish?

Does anyone have O2's 6up/dual scw or similar type of board available for sale?

I am using 6 led channels and an scw for my fans. Also. I am using 3 fans which are 12v and 360ma each. Do I add up the 3 fans to total 1080ma and find an scw that supports 1080ma (scw12c12) or will it be able to send 360ma to each fan with the scw05c12?

At 360mA, they're 4.32w each. There are 5w, 8w, and 12w SCW, so you'd still only be able to realistically run one fan from the 5w and two from the 12w.

You need to be able to supply the total of the currents (so over 1A) and I'm not sure they do an SCW that powerful! They have brought more out since last time I looked so I'm not sure, but I don't think they do one over 12W...

Then you are either running them at half voltage or half amperage depending on how you have them wired up. Your SCW will be running very hot in that configuration.

so in my existing build I have a 6up coralux board with 4 LDD's and 1 SCW.
The scw goes to a coralux fan control board. If I added another scw for safety reasons would I need to get another coralux fan control board?

My drivers are currently in my sun power housing, along with my switching power supply. They are actively cooled (along with my t-5 bulbs and led heatsink) with the aforementioned fans.
