How about oceanpods.com, or look for tiggerpods from Reed Mariculture, Inc. They are a sponsor here. You can PM GreshamH.

Reading this thread some more has prompted me to get my other 100 gallon tank going again.. going to Home Depot for plumbing parts tonight

Thanks Marc, well at least till my wallet is empty because of a second tank, then i may be cursing you :)

So I had to do a water change today...

It really helps when you have the right equipment. ;)

Marc,

I thought you might be interested in this. I just received my digital temperature recorders and they are very slick! But I took one with me today as I drove around town. I kept it out of the direct sunlight, but did not put it in anything (such as a thermos). Can you guess when I stopped for lunch?

The last red dot is when I stopped at McDonald's for dinner and even then the temperature got up to 115 in the car.

I linked to a smaller image here:

The larger image can be found here (it is a large file!):

I'm going to take the lead that someone else showed me today. I'm going to plant an oak tree tomorrow. ;)

That is a nice graph. Did you try shaking it hard or dropping it a couple of times to see if it will cause a false reading? This is exactly why we have a/c in all of our vehicles in Texas!

Considering I'm currently on a graduate student salary, no I did not try to damage the expensive recorder

Seriously, I think the tags are pretty accurate at the moment. If you look at the flat section before 10am, that was when it was sitting in our upstairs office which is kept at 80, so pretty good. But I want to run a series of tests first that are non destructive and then I'll get into shaking them.

Hey I like that recorder output. I have never seen a digital recorder but I have had experience with the old mechanical wheels that go around. Well they were from a long time ago. They belonged to my . . . father, yeah my father and he let me . . . use it. Yep that's right my father had an old analog mechanical round read-out temp recorder that he let me use. ahem.

So anyway, where did you get that unit, I'd like to look into getting one.

Brian, I didn't mean drop it on the concrete, but maybe drop it on the car seat a couple of times, or wrap it in padding in a box, and drop the box like USPS or FedEx would. ;) You know, to test gravitational fields.

Skip the oak and go for teak or sappelle dude...:)

Brian: can you post a link to where you got the recorder?
