Acros & wieners, oh my!
Thank you, a lot of thought went into the design. The return lines are wide open pipes, no spray bars or anything, I found the flow to be about equal between the two tanks, but the exact amount is not really something I worry about. The plastic hooks are found in the plumbing section at the home improvement stores, used for securing pipes in structures. They are very nice to hold the pipe and minimize vibration.TANK YOU VERY MUCH MATT !!!! For taking the time to do all that drawing.
I love the " Wiener dog " , that is an important piece of equipment ... LOL... I have 3 of those pieces .
I have never seen those plastic hooks you have to provide support to the pipes. Nice !!!
Another question: I can see that the valves are equally open in both return pipes. Do you know if the same flow/amount of water returns to each tank ? How do you manage that ? Or you don't care ?
Your system is working flowlessly so I like to know those details because, you never know, when I will need to do something similar.
Thanks for your time in answering all my questions.
Cheers
Daniel
One more : you have a line from your skimmer cup to the sump, correct ? Are you feeding skimmate?
The line from the skimmer cup goes to a big reservoir in the back with a float sensor. I pinch off the line to let me see how much skimmate is collecting over a given time period, then I open it up and the cup empties into the reservoir. I don't feed it to the tank, which is probably good, since the stuff this skimmer pulls out is pretty nasty
You have three wiener dogs? The one in the picture is oblivious to everything except playing with his ball - a split second after the picture he had it lodged behind the pellet reactor and went blundering in after it:headwallblue:
