Microbubbles?

I just set up a 29 Bio Cube and have some bubbles on the surface of the glass, but not coming out of the pump outlet. However, I am not using the stock wet/dry filration in the back, so that might make a difference.

I (literally) just put in some LS, LR, a skimmer and a heater, so I'll let you know if something comes up in the next few hours/days.

are they actually coming out of your pump? how high is the water level in the sump?

I believe they are coming out of the pump.Took a couple of days to start with the bubbles. I left the bioballs out also!
we will see what happens!

I beleive mine are coming out of my pump too. I've got a little salt creep where it screws together. It might be sucking air from there. Its going to get fixed today.

kingfisher62, any better now? I noticed the next day that I also had some micro bubbles, but they have since gone away. Hope it has gotten better for you.

mine is still the same, not sure what to do, any ideas? I don't have any salt creep at all but my water still looks "dusty".

I put some poly-fil in the filter side in case it was dust from the sand bed but that had no effect on it so I'm guessing it is air bubbles.

I still had air bubbles after the fix w/ the pump.
I took out all the return line and replaced it w/ new flex line and switched my pump out and no bubbles
Do you use any line lock to go into your tank? I'd check that to.
Are you using Homedepot sand or really fine sand. I used the HD sand in my 300g and it took over a month to calm down even after rinsing it.
Good luck

what is line lock?

I'm planning on replacing my pump with a maxijet 1200 this weekend and maybe replace the line as well, not that pricey.
